Mojicón (Anise Sweet Bread)
A fluffy sweet bread with a hint of anise liqueur, leavened with a yeast starter and baked until golden.
Ingredients
Type a number or fraction (for example 0.5, 2 or 1/2) and the amounts recalculate.
- 1 cupwarm milk
- 1yeast1 packet
- 1/2 poundflour
- 4eggs
- 1/2 poundsugar
- 1/2 poundwheat flour
- 8 tablespoonsbuttermelted
- 1anise liqueur1 small glass
Instructions
- Mix the warm milk, yeast and flour of the starter well, and leave in a warm place to rise.
- Beat the egg whites to stiff peaks and add the yolks.
- Add the sugar, flour, starter, melted butter and anise liqueur; mix everything very well.
- Let the dough rest a while to rise.
- Pour the dough into the molds and let it rise.
- Sprinkle a little sugar on top and bake in a hot oven.
