Mojicón (Anise Sweet Bread)

Ingredients

Type a number or fraction (for example 0.5, 2 or 1/2) and the amounts recalculate.

  • 1 cupwarm milk
  • 1yeast1 packet
  • 1/2 poundflour
  • 4eggs
  • 1/2 poundsugar
  • 1/2 poundwheat flour
  • 8 tablespoonsbuttermelted
  • 1anise liqueur1 small glass

Instructions

  1. Mix the warm milk, yeast and flour of the starter well, and leave in a warm place to rise.
  2. Beat the egg whites to stiff peaks and add the yolks.
  3. Add the sugar, flour, starter, melted butter and anise liqueur; mix everything very well.
  4. Let the dough rest a while to rise.
  5. Pour the dough into the molds and let it rise.
  6. Sprinkle a little sugar on top and bake in a hot oven.
