Walnut Sandies

Buttery melt-in-the-mouth cookies with chopped Brazil nuts, shaped into little balls.

Ingredients

Type a number or fraction (for example 0.5, 2 or 1/2) and the amounts recalculate.

  • 1 cupsoftened butter½ pound
  • 1/3 cupsugar
  • 2 cupswheat flour
  • 3 teaspoonswater
  • 1 teaspoonvanilla
  • 1 pinchsalt
  • 1 cupchopped Brazil nuts

Instructions

  1. Mix the butter and sugar well.
  2. Add the water and vanilla; mix.
  3. Add the flour and nuts; mix.
  4. Chill the dough in the fridge for 3 to 4 hours.
  5. Form little balls (do not shape them like cookies).
  6. Bake on an ungreased tray at 325° for 20 minutes.
  7. Once cool, dust with XXX powdered sugar using a sieve.
