Pineapple Fritters (Hojuelas)
Thin, crispy fritters fried in oil, with the dough moistened with pineapple juice.

Ingredients
Type a number or fraction (for example 0.5, 2 or 1/2) and the amounts recalculate.
- 1 poundwheat flour
- 4 tablespoonssoftened butter
- 1 teaspoonbaking powder
- 1egg yolk
- 1 cuppineapple juice with a little warm water
- 1 teaspoonsalt
Instructions
- Little by little, mix with your fingers the flour, butter, yolk, baking powder and salt.
- Gradually moisten the dough with the pineapple juice and knead gently until forming a smooth dough that does not stick to your hands.
- Let the dough rest for a quarter of an hour, covered with a cloth.
- Roll out with a rolling pin on a floured surface until very thin.
- Cut and fry in hot oil.
