Prune Sauce

A sweet sauce of prunes cooked in wine, thickened with cornstarch and cream, ideal for serving over desserts.

Ingredients

Type a number or fraction (for example 0.5, 2 or 1/2) and the amounts recalculate.

  • prunesto taste
  • winea little
  • 1 tablespooncornstarch
  • 1 tablespooncream

Instructions

  1. Put the prunes over the heat with a little wine.
  2. Take them off the heat and remove the pits (seeds).
  3. Return to the heat with the cornstarch dissolved in wine or water and the tablespoon of cream.
  4. Pour hot over the dessert.
