Mojicón Cake (Pudding)

Homemade pudding of mojicón bread layers soaked in milk, with guava paste, cheese and butter, topped with a syrup meringue.

Ingredients

Type a number or fraction (for example 0.5, 2 or 1/2) and the amounts recalculate.

  • 2mojicón breads
  • 1/2 cupmilk
  • 1/4 cupsugar
  • guava pastea small piece
  • grated cheesea small piece
  • 1 tablespoonbutter
  • 1egg
  • 1egg white
  • 1/2 cupsugara bit less than ½ cup

Instructions

  1. Add the yolk, the sugar and a touch of vanilla to the milk.
  2. Slice the mojicón and soak the slices in the milk.
  3. Layer them in the dish with mojicón, guava paste, cheese and small pieces of butter until finished.
  4. Cover with the white topping and put in the oven.
  5. For the white topping, with a beaten egg white and a bit less than half a cup of sugar: when the poured syrup forms a thread, beat it over the egg white.
