Mojicón Cake (Pudding)
Homemade pudding of mojicón bread layers soaked in milk, with guava paste, cheese and butter, topped with a syrup meringue.
Ingredients
Type a number or fraction (for example 0.5, 2 or 1/2) and the amounts recalculate.
- 2mojicón breads
- 1/2 cupmilk
- 1/4 cupsugar
- guava pastea small piece
- grated cheesea small piece
- 1 tablespoonbutter
- 1egg
- 1egg white
- 1/2 cupsugara bit less than ½ cup
Instructions
- Add the yolk, the sugar and a touch of vanilla to the milk.
- Slice the mojicón and soak the slices in the milk.
- Layer them in the dish with mojicón, guava paste, cheese and small pieces of butter until finished.
- Cover with the white topping and put in the oven.
- For the white topping, with a beaten egg white and a bit less than half a cup of sugar: when the poured syrup forms a thread, beat it over the egg white.
