Cheese Muffins

Fluffy cheese muffins, light thanks to stiffly beaten egg whites, baked in individual molds.

Ingredients

Type a number or fraction (for example 0.5, 2 or 1/2) and the amounts recalculate.

  • 6egg yolks
  • 6egg whites beaten until stiff
  • 1 cupmilk
  • 1 cupflour
  • 1 teaspoonbaking powder
  • 1 teaspoonsalt
  • 1 tablespoonsugar
  • 1/4 poundmelted butter
  • 1 cupgrated cheese

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, sift the flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
  2. Add the yolks little by little, alternating with the milk. Stir well.
  3. Then add the melted butter and the cheese. Mix carefully until all the ingredients are properly combined.
  4. Finally fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites, without stirring too much.
  5. Butter and flour the muffin molds. Pour the mixture into each one.
  6. Bake in a hot oven at 350° for half an hour. After this time, remove from the oven.
